Meal Plans

In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2016-2017 academic year.

15+ Meal Plan

  • 15 meals per week 
  • $100.00 in Flex Dollars 
  • Recommended for: Underclassmen

7+ Meal Plan

  • 7 meals per week
  • $75.00 in Flex Dollars 
  • Limited to: Village III and Village IV Residents

150+ Meal Plan

  • 150 meals per semester
  • $125.00 in Flex Dollars. 
  • Limited to: Village III Residents

Commuter Meal Plans may be purchased through the Business Office

  • Recommended for: Commuters

Selection of a Campus Dining Services Meal Plan entitles you to a Meal Card, which allows you purchasing power equivalent to the plan you have selected. The Boyd Dining Hall is opened 7 days a week with breakfast, lunch and dinner available Monday through Friday. On the weekends, the dining hall offers brunch from 10:45 a.m. til 1:30 p.m. and continental breakfast from 1:30 p.m. til 5:00 p.m. when the dining hall opens for Dinner.

Meal Equivalency

Each weekday between 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and also from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. students with meal plans can use one of their weekly meals or semester meals towards a purchase at The Marlin Grill. At lunch the value of Meal Equivalency is $3.50 and at Dinner the value is $3.75.

Marlin Dollars

Students may also use Marlin Dollars at both the Boyd Dining Center and the Marlin Grill to purchase food. Marlin Dollars are linked to each Student's ID. Students or their parents may put money on their accounts through the Business Office throughout the year. Unlike Flex Dollars which expire at the end of the Spring Semester, Marlin Dollars do not expire.

Flex Dollars

Each meal plan comes with a certain amount of flex dollars per semester. These dollars can be used at both dining areas during normal business hours. Though not real money, flex dollars may be used as a debit account for making additional food purchases at either the Boyd Dining Center or the Marlin Grill. Any balance left over in your Flex account will roll over from the fall to the spring semester. Unused balances at the end of the spring semester will not be refunded, so use your Flex dollars wisely!

Lost or Stolen Meal Cards

Lost or stolen meal cards can be replaced. Should this happen to you, go to Security and get a new student ID.

Seconds Policy

You never have to be too shy to ask for seconds with our Campus Dining Program. Our generous policy allows for a second helping of many menu favorites. All you have to do is ask! Please note, however, that there are some exceptions to our Seconds Policy.

Dietary Needs

Do you have particular dietary needs? Please let us know. Our campus dining services program can accommodate your special dietary requirements. For more information, please contact us at extension 5713.

Dining Policies

One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:

  • Please bus your dishes and disposables from your table when you have finished dining
  • Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
  • Remember that meal cards are non-transferable. Meal cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.
